The UN Security Council will hold today meetings regarding North Korea's nuclear test at the request of the US, Japan, Great Britain, France and South Korea, the US mission to the UN.
The meeting will begin at 10 local time.
North Korea yesterday carried out the sixth most powerful nuclear test, suggesting that it detonated advanced hydrogen bombs for long-range action rockets that caused loud reactions worldwide.
UN Secretary General Antonio Guteresh condemned the jinn's nuclear test, praising it as “destabilisation deep for regional security” and urged the northeastern leadership to terminate with such steps.
This act is also a serious violation of the international obligations of North Korea and undermines international efforts at nonproliferation of nuclear weapons and disarmament”, checks on the Guteresh statement.
