Scary: A moment when planes almost crash

This is the scary moment when two passenger planes passed very close together, as they were about to land.

The two planes, which were carrying hundreds of travelers, cut each other's path so close that at one point they looked like they were above each other.

The photos of this moment were captured by Chris Hine, 70, who was standing in his garden in Britain.

I was so surprised, I grabbed the camera and approached it to get better views. Although very high, it was clear that the red was Virginia Atlantic A340 while the other was British Airways 787.
