Russian General killed in Syria, Russia charges

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov says the United States is to blame for the murder of the Russian general in eastern Syria over the weekend.

These modern comments by the Russian senior official are the most direct since Russian-backed forces in Syria have been dangerously approached by forces trained by the United States in eastern Syria.

The Russian commander's “murder is the bloody price for American dupicity in Syria”, Ryabkov said, have reported RIA-Novost and other news agencies.

Moscow and Washington back various military forces in Syria, while the two groups have marked sanctions against Islamic State militants in the eastern part of Syria, near the Iraqi border.
