EULEX has marked today the fourth anniversary of the death of Audrius Senavicius, Lithuanian customsman, who took over the post in northern Kosovo on September 19, 2013.
Mission Chief Alexander Papadopoulos placed a wreath of flowers in his honor at the place where he was killed. And the whole mission honored him with a minute of silence. Also present were a representative of the Zvecan municipality and regional commander of the Kosovo Police in the north, Nenad Djuric.

“Today four years ago, our colleague Audrius Senavicius was brutally murdered. Today, we are honoring his life and devoted service. May his memory ever be remembered. I share the pain with his wife and two sons, who have not yet received answers to many questions regarding his murder,” said Papadopoulos.

The European Service for Foreign Action headquarters (EEAS) has perpetuated Senavicius' life and death by writing his name on the memorial tablet along with other EU members who have been in charge of the task of commemorating all the high price many have paid in defense of European values worldwide.
“Audrius made the sacrifice below. Nothing can replace the loss of a loved one. We lost a valuable member of our team, and justice should be put in place. I appeal to every person who has any information to submit,” emphasised Papadopoulos.

EULEX continues to seek information that can help perpetrators of the Audrius assassination to be brought to justice. What may seem insignificant or small may be very important information for investigators.
