Police in Berlin, Germany, have praised a refugee who delivered a hand bag with 14,000 euros in it, found on a train subway.
The bag was left in the U-Bahn train metro on Friday evening by a 78-year-old woman, the BBC writes.
Soon after she had forgotten her bag, she had realized her mistake and reported the case to the police, but the police were unable to trace the bag.
The bag was found by a 16-year-old student from Iraq, told her about her mother. Two days later, they handed the bag to the police.
Yesterday, German police wrote this status on Twitter:
A student found the bag at 14,000 euros and handed it over to the police. The owner is happy. We say great and thank you”
The family, which lives in a refugee center, is likely to be rewarded for its sincerity, German media say.
