Pope Francisco: The priests who rape their children will be severely punished

Pope Franescu has promised today that he will take the worst possible measures against priests who rape and molest children. The pope has stressed that bishops and religious superiors who cover up crimes against them will be held responsible.

Francisco met for the first time with the consultative Committee of Sexual Abuse, a group of foreign experts appointed in 2014 to advise him and the Catholic Church of best practices to keep pedophiles out of the priesthood and to protect children.

Cardinal Sean O'Malley, mayor of Boston and chief of the commission, has told the pope that the commission has benefited greatly from the most surviving conversation. /Express/
