ORCA continues for the 5th day in a row to seek answers and public clarification from the prime minister's office for demand, and now dismissing the Kosovo Agency for Accreditation (AKA) and the State Council of Quality ( KSC.
O The RCA (The Higher Education Education Growth Organization) insists that on this matter the Ministry will report to the Republic Assembly as envisioned in 7 points of the Law on Higher Education, which speaks of the Kosovo Agency for Accreditation, which says “if more than a third of the board members are replaced for any reason within a year, the ministry should report to this Assembly”, says the ORCA report.
ORCA is concerned with insufficient reasons for Prime Minister Haradinaj's request, addressed to Minister Bytyqi for downloads in question.
“We note that the reasons specifically given in the interior communication of the prime minister and minister are insufficient, but on the other hand, we have doubts that these dismissals do not come to improve the quality of education, but to protect the specific interests of the private higher education institutions that Kosovo Agency for Accreditation appears to have and the State Council of Quality have violated their efforts to preserve the quality of higher education in the country<1>, it is said in response.
We expect the prime minister's office to clarify for us and Kosovo society such an important decision that will directly affect higher education in the country.
