Following Mustafa's reaction, which said such things are not done through social networks, President Thaci has sent letters to the outgoing chief of executive to assist at least 100 thousand dollars in aid to individuals affected by the hurricane in Houston, U.S.A.
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has officially sent the letter to Kosovo Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa to support the citizens of Houston of the United States, after the floods sparked by Hurricane Harvey.
In the letter to the prime minister, President Thaci has demanded that the Kosovo Government extend at least $100,000 to citizens affected by the hurricane in Houston.
This is the full letter of President Thaci to the prime minister, Isa Mustafa.
Honored Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo Mr. Mustafa,
Recognising the great support he has given and is giving the United States of America in the freedom and construction of the state of Kosovo,
Taking into account the solid spirit of the people of Kosovo, which never forgets the American people's help to Kosovo,
Feeling the concerns of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, shared with concerns and developments in Houston, following the floods and massive floods caused by Hurricane Harvey,
I call on and ask the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to make urgent decisions on sharing at least a hundred thousand US dollars (100.000 US$) to help American families affected by this disaster. I'm aware that this amount is symbolic, but we, as a new country, but with a centuries-old tradition of solidarity, have always helped with what we could.
Your Honor Mr. Mustafa,
I am convinced that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, which you lead, at a time as soon as possible, will make sharing of this symbolic financial sum as evidence of the solidarity of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo with the citizens of Houston.
