Being Albanian is fatal, as it is to be English, Serbian, German. It's not our choice, as it's not our choice to be men or women. With the question in the book I wanted to warn the reader that I make an Albanian portrait of”, Nano says, adding that this portrait has its own good and bad sides.
But when asked about fighting these opposite sides, he says: “I am Albanian 24 carats and find myself in vices and virtues. Albanian is a culturally backward being. Even more backward than neighbors, than Serbs and Greeks. This is explained in historical circumstances. It's a background”, he says on the “show Open studio” in News24.
