Attending this ceremony were Kosovo Security Force Minister Rrustem Berisha, commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Lieutenant General Gumman Rama, US Deputy Ambassador to Kosovo Colleen Hylande, Ministerial Adviser Colonel Fadil Hadregjnik, Chief of Staff of the Land Forces Command ( KFT ), Colonel Naim Haziri, and representatives from the US Embassy in Kosovo and superiors of the Kosovo Security Force.
The participants in this ceremony became closely acquainted with these devices and with their post by Deputy Commander of the Communication Company Lieutenant Jeton Ahmeti and US Deputy Ambassador Calen Hylande, who together made some private communications, to announce those present about the role and importance of these devices, not only for the Communication Company, but also for the KSF in general.
In this case, KSF Minister Rrustem Berisha thanked the American Embassy in Kosovo for co-operation and continued non-reliance for the KSF. This donation to KSF is very important because the Force becomes modern only with such modern equipment. We hope that in the future we will use this system in direct communication with our partners and allies”.
Next, guests also visited members of the KSF, who are attending training conducted by American instructors to train them to use these devices.
General Rama, in turn, thanked the US deputy ambassador and through her the US Embassy in Kosovo for the continued donation and support the US has given over the years for advancing the Kosovo Security Force.
KSF Commander, among other things, talked about the importance of training that KSF members are attending. “Today's donation is of great importance to the Kosovo Security Force, and the same importance is the training that you have organized for the ability of our members in the physical use of these devices.
Meanwhile, the U.S. ambassador expressed satisfaction with the reception and the appreciation given to the donation by the KSF, as well as highly praised the engagement of members in training, saying that it cannot become a literal use of these devices without such training and I am glad to see such a willingness to learn all things.
It is noteworthy that the US Embassy has supported the Kosovo Security Force in all phases of development in both equipment and training for professional establishment of the Kosovo Security Force.
