Korab Sejdiu resigns from AKR

Let me at first apologize for my objective inability to respond on thousands of orders and calls that have come to me in the last few days. Once, I thank you very much for the patience to allow me time to reflect and appreciate the new circumstances created in the country.

Today, write to give you two reports.

1. I understand that politics is the art of opportunity, and that being in politics sometimes requires even making painful compromises. However, I share the opinion of those who, when it comes to the interests of the State, are not allowed to compromise. I have been consistently consistent with the stance that a Serb-listed and conditional government is contrary to state interests because it remains hostage to the Belgrade regime. As a result, I have assumed that I cannot support that. Moreover, I have made sincere efforts with the Albanian majority ( LAA and VV to form the ruling alternative that has legitimacy from the people. I am very disappointed that narrow party interests could not achieve this goal, despite the vital moment of removing evil from this country.

Say it, I'll let you know that I will remain loyal to the word given to my electorate, and at the Constituent session I will vote against both instances, and the election of the President but also the Government.

2. I think that we as the representatives of the people have had a rare opportunity this time to give Kosovo a turn towards good. Unfortunately, for silly reasons for me, that purpose was not realized. On the other hand, it is clear that me and the New Kosovo Alliance (“AKR”) have divided opinions about what we think is in the best of the country, and in this it is evident that I stand alone on this subject. I have neither the will nor the will to tread upon my honor and my word. But at the same time, I have no right to vote against a government where the container part is President Pacolli and AKR, while I am part of the AKR.

To avoid this, I inform you that today I have filed with President Pacolli my resignation from the AKR and all positions in the structure of this subject, with immediate effect. I have thanked President Pacolli for his whole cooperation and sincere will to be an integral part of the AKR's journey to the next government. Lus for my resignation to be taken simply as a moral act to remain loyal to my word at this crucial moment for the country.

My political activity will for now continue as an independent MP in the Republic of Kosovo Assembly.
