The Council for Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms has reacted after decedenting 86 candidates for local elections from the CEC, saying this CEC action is a gross case of discrimination through the use or misuse of double standards in implementing judicial decisions, allowing them to be in the national and the same race by eliminating them in the local race.

KMDLNj also thinks that the list of works should be made, given society's risk, that it would be used for the certificate or the certificates of candidates, and not for linear treatment all the same.

Full response of KMDLNY:

Deceertification of candidates for elections through use of double standards

The Central Electoral Commission disqualifyed 86 candidates for the October 22nd 2017 local elections, calling the Electoral Law that put candidates who had been sentenced for a criminal offence in a firm court ruling in the past three years. This condition for potential candidates who have decided to run for the October 22nd 2017 local elections has not been implemented in the June 11th 2017 parliamentary elections, although the Election Law in the three-month period (from June 11th to October 22, 2017) has undergone no changes that would forgive participants in the June 11th elections, while it would condemn contestants in the October 22nd 2017 elections that actually took place through decetification (the elimination of 86 candidates) convicted and that a number of them competed even on June 11th 17th but that they were also certified at the time of being sentenced by the court, to a court-cut.

From the aspect of human rights, but also from the aspect of right, this action by the CEC for KMDLNI is a gross case of discrimination through the use or misuse of double standards in the implementation of judicial decisions; the same work for the same sentence is allowed to compete at the highest and most sensitive level, the general one in which you are mandated to vote laws while participation in local elections where you implement laws!

This discrimination is typical Kosovo non-sens!

To declare, as CEC leader Valdete Daka, a career judge, that the verification of candidates in early elections has not been possible to do so and that they have not made the decertification of convicts and that local elections, which are regular and that there is no reason for parliamentary elections are more important than local ones, and that until now it seems that parliamentary elections are likely in most cases of early life.

KMDLNj is about cleaning up electoral lists, making no distinctions and not discriminating potential candidates.

In this context, it thinks that the candidates allowed participation in the June 11th 2017 parliamentary elections had to be allowed participation in the October 22nd 2017 elections (as it is a deadline between the two elections) and that after the October 22nd 2017 elections, the Law for Elections could be implemented, and that would be acceptable because in the meantime, electoral lists would be cleaned up and the condemned candidates would not become part of the election race.

KMDLNj also thinks that the list of works should be made, given society's risk, that it would be used for the certificate or the certificates of candidates, and not for linear treatment all the same. For KMDLNY, it is necessary to remove candidates who are in judicial procedure from electoral lists, accused of very serious and harmful acts for society as long as the judicial process lasts or until the integrity of the judicial decision.
