Following Interpol membership delay, Kosovars are endangered by Serbia's warrants

“There are no significant consequences for security delaying membership, since Kosovo is part of other international bodies, as it has co-operation with EULEX and KFOR. Our country has excellent co-operation with various police organisations, both regional and international,”, he said.

The expert on security issues stressed that Kosovo must put positive psychological pressure to secure votes for membership in this relevant international mechanism.

I would recommend Kosovo's institutions, the Government, to work further and insist on putting pressure on membership in the organisation. Member states, which are reluctant to recognise and accept Kosovo into the organisation”, should be informed over time, he said.

Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has made a decision yesterday to postpone Kosovo's vote in Interpol for the next meeting of this organisation.

Haradinaj has called on diplomats to work more at the next meeting so that Kosovo can be voted member of INTERPOL.
