Injured policeman confessed to killing at discotheque in Pec

Hasan Buqaj, the policeman who was injured in 2010 by the person who caused a murder and two other injuries at Peja's “City Club” on the second night of 2010, said he could not identify the then gun shooter.

Granit Elshani charged by prosecutor EULEX, Andrew Hughes, for serious murder, three attempted murders, causing general risk and illegal weapons.

The prosecutor claims that Elshan committed these acts with intent of revenge, while last year KALLXO.com had secured the indictment on 11 pages of which described the bloody conflict between the Elshani and Kelmendi families of Pec that had left 23 people dead - 10 of the Kelmendi family, 3 of that Elshani and 10 others.

In court, police officer Buqaj initially indicated that he and two friends on the second night of New Year 2010 went to the District “City Club” of Pec to have fun.

Bulqaj made it known that even though he was not on duty that night, his official gun was with him, for he declared that there was no safe place to leave him.

The witness officer then told how the shots started at the disco.

“In the club were present somewhere around 700 people and walking and seeing a relative and stopping to talk to him, when suddenly several shots were heard behind me”, said Buqaj.

He then described the clothing of the man who fired two pistols.

And there was a person who fired a gun on a beast in front of me, who was about 18 inches long, and dressed in fine jeans, green jacks, and hooded in his head, and he was garnishing his face. As he boarded the beast, he raised his two hands up and started firing two pistols with which he caused fear and panic among all present”, said Buqaj.

The policeman then indicated that the man who shot began running away from the discotheque while he said that he himself was thrown behind him to follow him.

The unexpected “started running toward the exit and I ran after him focusing only on his head. Several shots were heard on the way out of the hall, and as soon as I went out, I kept following him, and every time I was 3 to 4m of his lag”, he confessed Hasan Buqaj.

He also gave details at the moment when he was wounded by the person who caused the discotheque shooting, showing that several times he screamed at him “Stop, police!”

He ran up his hand without turning his head and pointing toward me. After that I once again shouted for him to stop, or I'll shoot. He still did the same, and I was left injured in the right quarter by the pocket, with which I remained lying and couldn't track him back to”, said witness Buqaj.

Prosecutor Hughes asked the witness if he could identify the person who shot him, but Buqaj said he had no chance to see the face of the person he shot.

Bajajaj did not ask for compensation for the wound, as he said she could not identify her official, while saying his pursuit did so in the police's quality.

Dodaj Nite, Granit Elshan's lawyer asked the court to face the physical description Buqaj made to the person who shot and the data compared to his client's physics, but the court rejected it.

Granit Elshani is charged with entering Paya's “Discotque “; and two “type guns. TT” fired toward Besart Shabbit and Valdet Kelmendi.

Sobe from the shooting then died, and Kelmendi was wounded.

Granit Elshani has been declared innocent of the charges charged.
