The news has revealed the former AAK capital's presidential candidate, Besnik Tahiri.
Tahiri's complete note:
Pristina law is becoming reality!
Today I had the honor of meeting the prime minister and commend him for the decision to process the Law for Pristina.
I, both in professional capacity and even as a candidate for chairman for almost a decade now, have worked and lobbied for this Law to pass.
I thank everyone who was in a working group, colleagues from the Pristina municipality, MAPL, project DEMOS, the line ministries and the KLGI Institute for their engagement and work.
I hope that after the government's approval the assembly will proceed quickly. It has been and it is unacceptable for Pristina to have municipal status like 37 other municipalities.
In the meantime, according to the Constitution, the capital's status (Nani 13 points 1 and 2 capital) is recognised and is issued as a obligation to make arrangements with special Law.
Therefore, I say with full responsibility that the Constitutional and Legal spirit recognizes the status of the capital.
The current legal arrangement has recognised organization only as a municipality, and it can be said that such a definition is symbolic and heritage rather than real regulatory and legal status.
Congratulations Pristina citizens
Congratulations to Kosovo
