Haradinaj on this occasion criticised past dialogue process with Serbia, meaning that neighbouring state from this process is reaching out to candidate status, and Kosovo nothing, not even visa liberalisation
The prime minister, although directly he did not mention President Hashim Thaci, who has led the entire process of dialogue with Serbia, said that Kosovo, even though it has been participating for years in dialogue, here it is.
“Visa liberalisation. Yes, we want visa liberalisation and it will come in record time. But, it's not just visa liberalisation, we want candidate status as well. Our neighbours are opening the EU membership chapters, and we have been participating in dialogue for years, and here we have remained”, Haradinaj said.
In this case, Haradinaj also talked about what Kosovo benefits from NATO membership and implementation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (MSA).
Kosovo must join NATO. It is not only security for Kosovo. There's something else. It's a direct impact on the economy. A country in NATO is guaranteed, investments are guaranteed. Kosovo's friends, accelerating Kosovo's NATO membership, accelerate the economic development of this country”.
The MMA implementation is not just the norm, but the impact on our lives. We don't apply the SAA, just for some reports and letters we need to get back to someone. We apply to make Kosovo Europe, our country”, Prime Minister Haradinaj/ Metro
