The fate of five Albanian sailors and of the ship trapped at a port in Libya is being followed by Albania's embassy in Egypt. The Foreign Ministry is working on their return home, while announcing that Albanian sailors are safe and sound, aboard the ship.
Albanian Ambassador to Egypt Edward Sulo says that, along with the foreign ministry, he has stepped in to do vetting procedures as soon as possible so that the ship and sailors can return.
Sulo also speaks of the charges brought against eight crew members, three of whom are from Montenegro.
The claims of Libyan portative authorities have been that there are data and information on cargo trafficking, mainly construction goods. It's about tons, thousands of tons of sand and gravel, that's all. But nothing is certain and we have received official reports of Libyan side claims. This was spoken to us orally”, Ambassador Sulo said.
Are the sailors' situation on board or police station?
Their situation is fine, they're inside the ship and they have no problem so far. So much as we have been told by our authorities”, said Edward Sulo, writes TCH, broadcasts Kosovo Clan.
