Edi Rama urges Antonio Guterres recognition of Kosovo

Prime Minister Edi Rama had a meeting at the United Nations headquarters in New York with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
Views on development challenges were exchanged at the meeting, and the need to co-ordinate all of us's contributions in addressing these challenges was stressed. Secretary Guterres praised Albania for the integration of sustainable development goals in the National Development Strategy.
The political situation and the security field in the Western Balkans were the focus of the meeting.
Prime Minister Rama guaranteed that the Albanian government is committed to peace and security not only in our region, but even wider. In this respect, Prime Minister Rama underlined that recognising Kosovo from all countries is a direct contribution to the security and stability of the entire region and all its countries.
Prime Minister Edi Rama also praised the role and contribution of UN agencies in Albania to the reform process.
