Edi Rama for Greece: Albania will close its eyes and mouth for its rights

Prime Minister Edi Rama delivered a message to Greece today when he said Albania would not close its eyes or mouth “in defense of its truths and rights” He said that very soon there will be solutions to problems associated with Greece. He said that very soon there will be solutions to problems associated with Greece.

We continue to believe in our zero problems with neighbours. We'll solve problems associated with the only neighbor we've got in our way. My message is simple and clear: We want mutual friendship, mutual respect and strategic co-operation. For us every Greek living in Albania is a free and equal member of our family, and the Greek minority a bridge between the two countries, the bridge for which the care of the Albanian government and state will only continue to grow.

But Albania, despite its troubles and needs, will never close its eyes or mouth in defense of its truths and rights.

Let me today prove faithful that the time ahead will bring about the desired solutions for both parties, with real dialgog, standing on the ground, relations between us will rise to a level of new friendship, respect and cooperation” Rama said.
