Delaway has a few words for Association: Kosovo must not be afraid of this issue

Delawi, in an interview for Koha Ditore, has stressed that Kosovo and its citizens do not have to fear association, as it has said, this mechanism only helps Serbs to work together on common issues.

 I certainly think that the association of municipalities should be created in accordance with the Kosovo Constitution. I was pleased to see the statement of the EU Special Representative, Mr Apostolova, that this is also the vision of the European Union. I think it's important because what the Association does is to facilitate Serbs where the majority are working together on common issues, such as health care and education, where language is really important. I am convinced that Kosovo doesn't have to be afraid of this, that Kosovo citizens, of whatever ethnic group they are, do not have to fear the association of Serb majority municipalities”, Delawie has indicated.

According to him, the level of anxiety after the formation of association will decline.

I think when this association is established and people see what it looks like, then their anxiety level will drop. For me, the Association has to do with strengthening Kosovo's sovereignty over all its territory, eliminating parallel structures run by a foreign state and establishing all aspects of municipal governments firmly within the scope of Kosovo's constitutional provisions”, the US ambassador has said.
