Kosovo Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli appears to have had a fierce debate with Serbian counterpart Ivica Dacic at the UN General Assembly.
It was Dacic who the previous day accused Pacolli of lying with his statements that Kosovo has votes for membership in U. NESTO.
Pacolli and Daciq have met during their stay in New York, and Kosovo's minister has asked Dacic why he made those statements, broadcast the news.net.
“at the United Nations headquarters met with Kosovo Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli, and he asked me why I said I was lying”, Dachicic said.
The Serbian foreign minister has also declared that Kosovo officials are providing incorrect data on recognitions, taking the example of the Republic of Mauritius.
Kosovo's “representatives because of their internal political reasons provide incorrect data. As is the case with data that Mauritania has recognised Kosovo. I immediately called the representatives of the Mauritania government, with whom I have good relations. Serbia supports Mauritan in the case of territorial integrity and has joined in their statements and UN resolutions. In the conversation, I have been told that there is no change in attitude”, the Serbian minister added, conveys news.net.
He also talked about possibility of Kosovo membership in U NESTO, declaring that Kosovo will not defeat Serbia in the general assembly, if only decides to apply.
“With full security I can say, even though I don't know if they will apply, that Kosovo will not defeat Serbia at the Nesco General Assembly in November”, Ivica Dacic concluded.
Otherwise, Kosovo government has not yet made official decision whether to apply for membership in U NESTO this year.
