The coalition of NGOs for Child Protection KOMF through a document of demand has been addressed to the candidates for mayors, from whom we seek a pledge that children's rights and their protection will be part of the priorities of the governing agenda in the event of election.
What does this mean:
Active involvement of children in issues affecting them, considering children's own views on municipal decision-making processes.
Sharing the budget needed to implement child protection and welfare legislation in your municipality.
Development and implementation of a comprehensive municipal strategy for establishing the friendly community for children based on the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Increasing the quality of education and ensuring inclusion and access to education, preventing abandonment and preventing violence in schools.
Establishing concrete plans to increase the quality of health services.
Improving social protection for all children in need of institutional protection, including children without parental care, children with special needs, children in poverty, abused and neglected children, children victims of exploitation and trafficking, children involved in serious work, and so on.
Data research and prioritization to determine the dominance of various issues within the municipality. This data should include the exact number of children in Komuna, the number of disabled children, children engaged in dangerous work, children victims of violence, children who abuse narcotic substances, and so on.
Establishing adaptable access and inclusive environments for rehabilitation services, education, health care and resolution for disabled children.
Establishing or empowering sustainable municipal accounting mechanisms, independent of monitoring, and inspecting the quality of service delivery in the field of education, health and social well-being.
