LDK's chairman underseas in Dobercan, Naser Arifi, has been decedented by the Central Election Commission since the same court had imposed a 300-euro fine during the 2013 election campaign.
But this fine, Arifi says he paid it immediately after the conviction was pronounced, Blic newspaper reports. com
This chairman of this sub-edge in Dobercan, which until yesterday was part of LDK's election list in the Gjilan municipality, claims that his decetification occurred after having marred an election rally by former PDK leader Hashim Thaci in 2013.
And I want to explain what really happened in 2013. During the campaign of local elections, various proto-Mafia characters campaigned dirtyly, coming through the night through some „commanders“through families traditionally pro- LDK and by scaring and blackmailing them to vote on them. Police and state bodies did not find themselves called to interfere.
My reaction at the time has been individual and an effort that, in the absence of competent and more radical responses, as the only way that clan Pronto understands, the pronto can become known to head Hashim Thaci, that this country does not endure mafia behavior and that someone can come out of themselves and use violent means.
The action chosen by me was just a warning and a form that could not cause any material or human damage. Strangely enough, the competent bodies reacted very quickly, and I faced the court and paid within the legal deadline prescribed”, he announced.
However, Arifi has welcomed the CEC's decision to decertify him from the election list by praising him as the right decision, but adds that “the resignation from the election lists of all persons with criminal acts is one of the most important steps for a sound political turn. Such a decision should apply to all and not to be selective, as in the case of the election lists. ”
According to him, it is a positive step in the right direction and such a criterion should be applied even in national elections and in all carriers of political and public functions, starting with the head of state.
The CEC has made a decision to deceertify all candidates competing for mayor and Communist Assembly for the October 22nd local elections, which have a formal court act.
Days earlier, the CEC has decertified 86 candidates who were part of the election lists, among them the Kosovo Assembly MP from NISMA ranks Zafir Berisha, who in this year's local elections was nominated for a candidate for mayor of Prizren.
