Behgjet Pacolli, president of the AKR, has written a letter to members of the AKR leadership, arguing with the PAN coalition.
Among other things, Pacolli argues that the country is losing a lot with the blockade established after the June 11th elections.
This letter says no one has supported his proposal for sweeping government, while waiting for LDK and VV to agree, but expectations have been in vain.
Also, this letter says the AKR does not coalition with either the PDK or with someone else, but builds agreements with Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, with a host of proposals for reforms which the country will redirect on the right track.
“The ministries which are led by the AKR will be efficient, successful and with positive results from citizens”, said among other things.
This is his full letter:
Why AKR in Government
Country blocked
The AKR stance has been that Kosovo after the 11 June results needs a broad-based government.
The AKR and its deputies, as well as other subjects in the LAA coalition, have authorised the LDK chairman to negotiate with other subjects and coalitions to establish new institutions.
The AKR has been ongoing insistent that the LDK and LVVV reach an agreement on creating a parliamentary majority.
We waited for the VV and LDK to reach an agreement, but it was in vain.
We also gave them a time limit, with the good will for the agreement to be reached. We've been actively mediating in this direction but it's been useless.
We have the insistent on sweeping or technical governments for a certain period where all parties will participate where the ten key points that will keep Kosovo hostage and then go to the polls will be resolved.
No one wanted this option either.
Kosovo does not have the luxury to stay blocked. There are millions of euros lost as a result of the political blockade. Even the payments to war veterans from the blockade have been endangered. Short - term prospects also endangered the wages of over 600,000 civil servants.
Internationally Kosovo is losing its friends, image and confidence every day. Investors rather than come are leaving, while Kosovo is being isolated day after day.
International partners are losing their interest, and responsibilities are being passed on to locals.
The AKR as a liberal party that has always put the interests of the state first, and citizens could not even be part of the blockade and make solutions where they can.
The AKR has now decided to support the government's mandate so that the country can give a government, and to get the country out of this serious institutional crisis, without creating any other trauma for citizens and the image of Kosovo.
The AKR does not coalition with either the PDK or with anyone else but builds government agreements with Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, with a host of proposals for reforms which the country will redirect on the right track.
Reforms in public administration, the procurement law, in court for accelerating treatment of untreated subjects, refunctioning free economic zones, creating modern instruments for the introduction of Kosovo's assets in the economic chain, agriculture reforms, environmental maintenance, mining refunction, modern infrastructure development, health investments, education, culture and sports, preservation of cultural heritage.
Integration of Kosovo in the international arena and world recognition and membership organisations represent an undeniable condition of co-operation.
These are the topics which have been discussed with the government mandate, and for which there is full agreement.
The ministries, which are led by the AKR, will be efficient, successful and with positive results from citizens.
