The U.S. Embassy in Pristina from October 2017 will begin processing for the Kosovo residents' visas for the 2018 programme.
Brian Corteville, chief of the Consulial Session at the American Embassy in Pristina, said there are types of visas issued at the US Embassy.
“When building the Embassy ends in 2018 will issue all visa services”, he said today on the morning show “good morning Kosovo, at Radio Television of Kosovo (RTK).
He also spoke of visas issued for the elderly, and that, according to him, is a very good possibility that the elderly will not travel for visas in Skopje. Corteville suggested that tourist visas still need to be reached in Skopje. We have no space to wait for applicants until the new embassy is made, he said. According to him, there are many Kosovars who want to visit America. “E look in American movies and for that they probably want to visit”, he said.
Corteville also talked about immigration visas. There is usually some fraud by sending a different email they allegedly won. The State Department does not e-mail them if they have won and should not be sent to anyone before”, he said. Corteville acknowledged that all interested in immigration visas can receive information on the United States Embassy's website in Pristina. He said 100 Kosovars emigrate to the US every year.
