Did you know that the U.S. was planning to wipe out “the surface of the soil” Communist Albania?
Researcher Erald Kpri, a professor of communication and a member of the Anques Council near AMA, published on Facebook the cover of a newly published US cube from Harvard Professor Odd Arne Westad, showing that the “peak of the Cold War in 1962, when the attack on Cuba had just ended, the United States of America has drafted a nuclear war operation, if necessary. But part of this plan has also been the complete destruction of Albania”, Kapri writes.

Cold War, communist Albania Plan to Be Destroyed by US
It may seem incredible, but it's true. At the height of the Cold War in 1962, when the missile crisis had just ended in Cuba, the United States of America has drafted a nuclear war operational plan, always if necessary.
But part of this plan has also been Albania's complete destruction.
The discovery of this plan has come to a new book published in the United States by Harvard Professor Odd Arne Westad.
The British newspaper The Times has dedicated a scripture to the book itself by making a thorough assessment of this publication. “The Cold War.
A world historical” is entitled The Book of the Known Professor.
According to its discovery, in 1962 the United States of America formulated an integrated operational plan for a wide nuclear war. Released from every finish, the purpose of the plan was to eliminate Communism everywhere. Albania was also involved, though it was no longer allied with the Soviets.
“I hope you don't have any friends or relatives in Albania”, Tommy Potter, was expressed, then head of the Strategic Air Command addressing Robert McNamaras, who was then Secretary of Defense at President Kennedy's Administration. “Because we're going to erase it from the face of the soil”, the senior American military further said.
The plan to eliminate Albania reveals the simple nature of the Cold War. With the sight of Americans, Albania was communist, communism was bad, so Albania would be destroyed. The identification of friends and enemies was easy in a world of rigid bipolarity.
As Odd Arne Westad says, the Cold War was an international system, but less complicated than those built by Bismarck or Metternic. Its simplicity supported stability. Lack of doubt has brought effective decision-making and has maintained peace for 50 years.
This publication tells of the 50 years of the Cold War as well as the great frustrations between the two superpowers, but not only. Despite these military plans for the complete disappearance of communist countries, luckily nothing happened. /Okéu. com/
