According to the latest European Environment Agency report, in 2016, Albania has 2120 deaths annually from air pollution, reports Albania's Time Ditore correspondent.
This figure has been made public in the case of European Mobile Week, where the Ministry of Environment has organized a sensational activity to promote the use of pollution - free vehicles, such as bicycles.
Meanwhile, public health specialists in Albania issued alarms for the situation, where in addition to the high death toll, the figure of people affected by respiratory or cardiac problems is several times higher.
It is a fact that Albania has a major problem with urban air, and this is reflected in the latest European Environment Agency report in 2016, where Albania has 2120 deaths annually from air pollution”, says Agron Deliu, air quality specialist at the Public Health Institute in Albania.
