The Republic of Macedonia is committed to building good neighbourly reports with the Republic of Serbia, but with other countries in the region. So the government of Prime Minister Zoran Zaev has responded to the government's decision to withdraw all of its embassy staff in Skopje.
Macedonia's “government remains strongly committed to resolving and not creating problems, aimed at strengthening neighbourly, co-operation and partnership with the Republic of Serbia, as well as with other countries in the neighbourhood. We are convinced that this is the only way for the region to move forward”, the REL broadcast the government's statement of Macedonia.
The government's communiqué published today on Facebook by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev does not comment on Belgrade's accusations, reportedly <x0 counterintelligence to Serbia” and who might be involved in the matter.
However, as reported in the communiqué, “The government of the Republic of Macedonia -- bringing no accelerated conclusions -- welcomes official Belgrade warnings of maintaining friendly relations and of turning the situation into ordinary <x1) frames.
The government has also not commented on the messages of Serbian diplomacy chief Ivica Dacic that Serbia can change its politicians for Macedonia's name, if they vote for Kosovo membership in U NESTO.
diplomacy chief Aleksandar Dimitrov questioned whether Macedonia is responsible for new effort for Kosovo membership in U NESTO has said that “Macedonia cannot be responsible for issues that are very important and that can serve as an argument with our neighbours”.
Serbian diplomacy chief Ivica Dacic had stated in Athens several months ago that Belgrade was mistaken when in the 1990s it had decided to recognise Macedonia by its constitutional name.
Dacic's statement concerned Macedonia's decision to vote in favour of Kosovo membership in U NESTO.
