The program, called ExpressLane, is designed to apply to the biometric systems that the CIA offers to partner agencies.
In theory partners agree that the CIA will have specific access to biometric data with their knowledge, but with ExpressLane the agency could do so without anyone knowing.
ExpressLane comes as a software update offered by CIA personnel themselves. He steals the system data implemented so agents examine whether the partner system has hidden data.
If the partners refuse update, the software has a “kill-switch” that agents can stop from functioning the entire system after a certain period of time making it necessary to engage technicians.
Wikipedia says the programme was used mainly for American agencies like the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security. Although the reason for stealing information is not known, the obvious is how the CIA uses technical support to access sensational information, the PCW reports.
