Vetevendosje is not enough to release activists, it requires dawning of Astrit Dehar's death

It was nearly a year since the five activists of Vetevendosje -- Frasher Krasniqi, Adea Batusha, Egzon Haliti, Father and Arifi and the late Astrit Dehari -- were accused of terrorist acts, specifically for assaulting the Kosovo Assembly.

Today, the decision was made to release four of them from house arrest in order to protect them in freedom, since witnesses invited by the court completely acquitted the four, not involving them in the work they were suspected of.

Immediately after their release, many co-activists and people of public life in the realm reacted, calling the court against them politically installed.

MP Albulen Haxhiu says lifting the house arrest measure against four indictees is evidence that the indictment has been political and “ally mounted”.

VV deputy Ismaili Ismaili, following the release of activists, has also demanded the complete whitelight of the death of Astrit Dehari, who died on November 5th at the Pre-burging Centre in Prizren.

“Adea, Egzon and Frasher are released from house arrest, while Homeland was released from custody. One of the greatest injustices does not end there. Activists should be cleared of the prosecution, but even more importantly, we do not stop until the complete whiteness of Astriti's death” wrote Ismaili on Facebook.

Justice and dawn for the circumstances of Astrit Dehar's death, following the release of four activists, Shpend Ahmeti also asked for a Shpend Ahmeti saying that “One of the greatest injustices does not end with so much”.

Her own Frasher Krasniqi, now elected deputy in the Kosovo Assembly, has reacted immediately after the court ruling, saying their release is not enough if the circumstances of Astrit Dehar's death are not white enough.

And besides me, Adeas and Egzon, even the Homeland has been released. Now that we're all free, what the Clan Proto and their propagandists will say that they don't leave the epithets without telling us! Why did they keep Astrin in prison? Why did it take a year to crawl in vain to prove that we were innocent? Someone has to go to jail for this persecution. Someone was definitely going to jail for the death of Astria”, Krasniqi wrote.

Later, a reaction has been issued by the Vetevendosje Movement.

The communique says Vetevendosje estimates the decision is only partial correction of an injustice initiated a year ago.

We estimate that this is a partial correction to an injustice that started a year ago. All four activists have been deprived of freedom unjustly for 12 months. They, along with the now-dead activist Astrit Deharin, were arrested in late August last year. All this time, they have been held in house arrest and detention as a result of an unfair process, based on slander and clearly political goals. The decision to suspend detention and house arrest is an admission meant by justice bodies that this process has been politically ordered and fairly unfair. Justice will only be established when this process is completely terminated”, says Vetevendosje's response.

Vetevendosje points out that the system that accused its activists of terrorism needs reshaping and reshaping from power - controlled elements, as it calls corrupt.

The captured justice system arrested them on charges of terrorism. This system needs reform and radical cleansing of power - controlled or corrupt elements. Together, with activists Adea Batusha, Atta and Arifi, Egzon Haliti and Frasher Krasniqi will not cease seeking justice for Astri, who lost his life violently in prison during the time he suffered an unjust sentence because of the alleged accusations of this oppressive government”, it is said in response. /Periscopi/
