A Japanese survivor of the atomic bomb in Nagasaki in August 1945 has died of cancer at the age of 88.
Sumiteru Taniguchi has been working as a postman morning when the United States dropped the bomb.
Over 70,000 people were killed in this attack.
Taniguchi has become a prominent anti-Vero weapons activist and has at one time been seen as the favourite candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize.
He was only 16 when the atom bomb hit Nagasaki and suffered severe burns on his back and left arm, REL reports.
He's been riding his bicycle about six miles [1.8 km] away from the blast episode.
