Shipilla residents seek meeting with Prime Minister Mustafa

Saim Krasniqi, representative of <x0Wagje Krasniqi” in the village of Shippitule, has asked Kosovo outgoing Prime Minister Isa Mustfa to meet the village residents in order to find a solution to the situation with electricity in the country. He has made that reaction after a meeting Mustafa held with the environment minister [...]

He has made that reaction after a meeting that Mustafa held with Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Ferat Shala, with Economic Development Minister Blerand Stavileci, and KEK Director Arben Djukaj, to discuss overcoming energy collapse.

The problem is not solved by meeting them with each other, but it is necessary that the prime minister to meet us as residents, to be informed in detail what are the main problems that have the power generation process,” he said in a reaction sent to the Insader.

Also, he has asked Prime Minister Mustafa to respond to the “16 paperwork I sent to him on behalf of the neighborhood that interferes with and solves the problem, as required by law”.

I call on the prime minister and two ministers to visit our village and let the event be announced from the site, and very easily come to resolve the problem. Understandably, if there is good will”, Krasniqi said.

Kosovo may face an energy crisis within days because of spending coal reserves on electricity production.

“It had to be alarming even earlier, when we announced that we have stopped operations due to deadlock or unable to expand the mine towards the village of Shipitula (The Obilik municipality), due to the unlegal construction, prior to the excavors”, KEK director Djuka reported several days ago.

At today's meeting with the prime minister, KEK leaders, MZHE and MMPH have pledged that they will speed up actions to quickly solve problems in property barriers and construction without permission.

The “expects citizens, who have property in that part, to co-operate with KEK and state institutions, to pave the way for the country not to come at risk about electricity, gaining all rights they are entitled to. Hence, temporary obstacles can only harm the country and create unpredictable commitment to import electricity”, the report says.
