Throughout the past century, mankind has made great inventions. We learned to fly, build big machines, cure diseases and develop computers, internet and smart equipment.
At the same time we have also caused destruction on Earth, in the form of wars and climate change.
Now, the world's most famous scientist, Stephen Hawking, thinks we have only 100 years to reach the end of the world. He says that if we want to continue living, we have to find ways to leave Earth for other planets by then.
However, this is not the first time the scientist has predicted the end. In recent years he has warned of the danger of Super Artificial Intelligence, which, according to him, would end mankind.
Further details about Hawking's predictions about the end of the world within the next 100 years will be made public in a BBC documentary that will be broadcast on June 15th.
In this documentary, the renowned scientist cautions that people should do their best to become multi-planetary in a century, so they can survive.
It explains that the days of people on earth are numbered because of climate change, asteroid shocks, epidemics, and overpopulation.
Is there a way to survive? We need to change our plans quickly. Many things can happen a century and we have proven that we are able to discover and develop many things within 100 years. But can we travel to other planets within this time?
“Thesla” and “SpaceX”, Elon Musk thinks so and he has already designed plans for this to happen. The destination in his mind is Mars. It predicts that by 2025, people will arrive at “the red plan” and that within 2033 we will have our first colony there. Besides private initiatives there are other programs to get there, NASA and China are working with their Mars missions. /tvclean.al.
