Political parties are currently in the final phase about the mayoral candidacys.
The parties have yet five days to finally decide about the candidates.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo has not yet decided for its candidate in Drenas.
The current chairman Ramiz Ladrovci and former MP Bislim Zogaj are in the race.
The latter says there were initially several candidates from the PDK branch in this city to run, but these candidates have been recalled on condition that the PDK is named as the candidate for chairman.
“First there have been several candidacys, but in the end have agreed that if the PDK is defined for my name, they are withdrawn and will be in favour of my candidacy. Now there is the candidacy of current Prime Minister Ludrovci, who claims he will be nominated anyway. But I believe his self-confidence will not be supported by the PDK structure, which is definitely set not to support Laddrovcin because of his actions as long as he managed Drenas and above all the interruption of the co-operation or disregard of the entire structure of the PDK, and at the same time his poor behaviour with citizens and businesses, Zogaj has said about the Indecline.
He expects reflection from the centre-based PDK's leadership, which, according to him, is aware of the consequences of Ladrovci's running for chairman.
Zogaj, believes in head of The PDK, Kadri Wessel, who has publicly invited him not to name Ludrovci for chairman, says it does not enjoy supporting PDK membership in Drenas.
On the other hand, Zogaj talked about his plans if he ran as chairman of Drenas. With Zogajan chairman of Drenas, he says the infrastructure issue will not be the subject of discussion after two years of governance.
“The priority priorities at the moment are employment. I am sure that within a year I bring in foreign investors, and Drenas gives foreign investors access because of its strategic position of foreign investment. I believe that in the four-year term no citizens of the municipality of Drenas will remain unemployed. At the same time, I'll turn the good image PDK in this municipality”, he added.
All in the end, he has suggested he will not leave the PDK even if he is not nominated for mayor.
“Often it is reported that because of the candidates' discontent with not being passed on to other parties. I publicly declare I'm willing to work for Drenas, but if The PDK is determined for Ludrovci it will not have my support, but if it is determined for any other candidate it will have my support. I will remain in the PDK as long as I exist as a party”, he added
