Prostitution in Tirana up to 200 euros an hour, is how police, taxi driver helped

Based on the investigation, which was completed at the end of July 2017, 8 of the defendants are charged with the criminal acts of “Exploitation of prostitution”, while others for the criminal work of “Prostitution”.

The Tirana Prosecutor's Investigation, launched on the basis of police information, as well as conducted with concrete police action on the ground, has revealed that a hotel owner, some people who exercised a profession and taxi driver, a police inspector, and several girls, worked together to secure <x0-cyclent” for girls exercising illegal prostitution activity. The payment for every “sexual service” ranged to 50,200 euros per hour.

The Tirana prosecution identified responsible persons on the basis of the investigation, which included at least three major episodes, of which several others are added, where the characters in this activity were linked to each other.

Episode 1

The citizen Mentor Coca, to whom currently has security measures <x0). Prison arrest” in absentia, had created opportunities for the hotel and its local facilities to exercise prostitution activity. He cooperated with the citizen Flanxa A., which, in addition to the exercise of prostitution, provided other girls, mostly from the peripheral areas of the country, under financial hardship to provide sexual services. Citizens Mentor Coca has recognised the citizen L.Q. and offered him work at his bar. He has recognised L.Q. Flanxa A., who took her to her home and included her in the prostitution activity. There were two other girls in this house who also exercised this illegal activity.

From field surveys, under this investigation, it turns out that the four girls, including Flanxa A., were “served” clients at the hotel of the citizens Mentor Coca, but also in hotels and other private environments. After performing “services”, customers sent girls back to Mentor Coca and paid the latter.

The proceeds obtained from the prostitution exercise were taken from the defendant Mentor, while other defendants were deprived of their food, sleeping, and clothing.

Episode 2

Following this investigation, the defendant Flanxa A was found to have continued contact with police officer Elton Sh, as well as with the citizen Mariglen A., who worked the taxi driver. By investigative actions, it turns out that these two citizens provided customers to girls living with the Flanxa A., but several others, who exercised prostitution. From investigations into this case, a situation is isolated when taxi driver Mariglen A. was escorting three girls to a hotel near central Tirana. On the way to the hotel, the vehicle is banned from the paperwork control police. At this moment, taxi driver Mariglen A., contacts Police Inspector Elton St., who is asked to help him avoid problems.

Elton Sh., approaches in his car and, after communicating with the police patrol, leaves with all the people found in the cab, driving the vehicle himself while parking. After traveling on several Tirana streets, the cab driven by Elton Sh., stops at the hotel where the girls were headed, which leaves and leaves with his vehicle.

Consuming this situation, the investigation also extended to these two (police and taxi worker), which resulted in their frequently getting clientele for girls who were practicing prostitution, even taking the percentage of money for their role. Along with the two in the activity of the use of prostitution, Arben B also resulted.

Episode 3

According to the above investigation, it was found, among other things, that the citizen Edward B., who lived with the citizen A.I., used the latter, as well as some other girls, for prostitution. Edward B., kept in constant contact with the Flanxa A., with which he was coordinating work distribution for girls, also setting the price for “services”, as well as the percentage he would receive for the clientele's safety.

After providing full information, the Tirana prosecution has ordered police to intervene in several cases, where girls practicing prostitution were found, as well as other clients already charged with the criminal act of “Prostitution”.
