The prosecution wants this ministry's help in investigating veterans' lists

The prosecution, except that it has knocked on the door of the organisation released from the war (OVL-UÇK), has launched co-operation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Management.

Izedin Bytyqi, secretary at MPMS for Indexline, has said the prosecution has called for the ministry's co-operation regarding the gathering of evidence for veterans' lists.

While the chairman of the KLA War Veterans' Organisation, Hysni Gucati, for Indescsonline, has indicated that the prosecution, which has sent inspectors with whom several days has requested veterans' lists, which he says has not.

The prosecution two days ago on Indexline confirmed that he started investigating these lists, gathering facts and evidence respectively.

They have indicated that evidence from investigations can change anyone's status, where there will be reduced veterans' numbers.

Last year, the government had published the number of 46 thousand veterans, where this topic sparked much debate over the abuses of this status for receiving a pension.

Even the IMF has reacted to large numbers of veterans, saying this large number of KLA veterans has exceeded even planned budget money for nearly 40m euros.
