Among them is Sokol Basota, who is reruned for the third time in this municipality.
The Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo in July last year has filed charges against the current president and candidate for another term, Sokol Basota, and three other officials.
He and the other three are accused of misusing office or official authority and failing to report or report false property, incomes, gifts, other material benefits or financial obligations.
Kosovo's Special Prosecutor, has filed an indictment with the Constitutional Court in Pec in the case of “cline”.
The alleged “Four are charged with the criminal offence of the official position or authority, a violation by Article 422 of the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code, in co-ordination under Article 31 of the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code”, said in the communiqué.
The Act has been established by an international Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo following complicated investigations conducted by Kosovo Police.
PDK in running for mayors even with a candidate
It is about PDK deputy chairman Zenun Pajaziti, whom his party ran for chairman Gjilan.
The Special Prosecutor had announced that against Zenun Pajazit, and several other PDK officials have launched investigations as suspected of involvement in the appointment of relatives with his subject on boards of Kosovo public and state enterprises.
These investigations came after the newspaper Insander published a series of wiretapping known as “Chiefs File”.
In addition to Zenun Pajazit, the Special Prosecutor had included former Minister Besim Beqaj, former Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Ilhami Gashi; PDK secretary in Prizren, Niyazi Kryeziu; former Deputy Labour and Social Health Minister Fatmir Shudaj; former interior affairs minister Sedat Gashi; and former Pharmacotic Division chief at the Ministry of Health, Arben Shudazi.
According to the prosecution, Pajaziti and other PDK officials are suspected of abuse of official position or authority and violating equal status of citizens and residents of the Republic of Kosovo.
Each of these two works is sanctioned by prison sentences of up to five years. /Insider. com
