Parties still undecided for candidates to race for mayors

Large parties have not yet managed to formalise the list of candidates for mayors, when less than 48 hours remain to do so, writes “Koha Ditore” today.

Proposals for candidates for local elections, to be held on October 22nd, have already created divisions and discontent within political parties. The strong race for the top post is expected to take place in Pristina, Prizren, Peja, Gjilan and Gjakova.

For the first of the capital, incumbent Shpend Ahmeti, coming from the Vetevendosje Movement, as well as Arber Vladhiu, from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, has formalised his candidacy. While the LDK and PDK have not yet made public the candidates' names for the post
