Backed Down by Official PDK: Our party abandoned KLA ideals, has become captive to individual interests

Member of The PDK in Malisheva, Adem Berisha, has ended its commitments to this party, saying the PDK has become a party of several individuals' interests.

Berisha has also voiced objections to the PDK-Nisma agreement on Malisheva, which he calls agreement to ignore the citizens of Malisheva, writes Periscope.

Public letter to PDK members, Malisheva citizens

Dear citizens of the Malisheva municipality, highly respected supporters.

I've had the honor and respect to be with you at crucial times over many years, where we've shared difficulties, shared pain and joys, stayed close to each other even when it seemed impossible.

So today I thank you warmly for your support during the war with your willingness and sacrifice, after the war with political and moral support.

Without your self - sacrificing commitment, no positive development in Kosovo would be possible!

Today, through this letter, I want to inform you of the decision I have made regarding my political activity in the Democratic Party of Kosovo.

As you know, many political developments in Kosovo and in particular in Malisheva are far from the goals our generation has. It is responsible for this situation and has been looking for it in the Democratic Party of Kosovo for years, and wherever I have been given the opportunity in the public sphere.

So looking inside PDK a logic of centralised party leadership without principles

Refusing to comply with the no principled agreement made between the PDK and NISMA, which openly showed ignoring citizens.

Since the PDK leadership is being unserious in terms of the Malisheva municipality and candidates for the Comune chairman, which is continuing agreements.

Viewing the situation where many of Malisheva's citizens get the kind of injustice and the PDK at no level does not come up with support.

And above all, seeing how the Democratic Party of Kosovo was intended to be close to their citizens and well-being, near the ideals of the KLA war and national values, has ended up in a party that has become captive to the interests of some individuals, leaving citizens and denying those values that contributed to many activists who were unjustly ignored, mocked and fought from within.

Today, I make public my resignation irreversible from the PDK.

I want to thank the hearts of all those citizens and joint parties from the village of Gurball, and all other villages in the Malisheva municipality and the wider ones that encouraged and supported me constantly to work and act in the interest of the citizens and the country, from the time I was teaching and then warrior in the glorious war of the KLA, to post-war commitments as their representative in the municipal assembly, in local and central government.

My public and political engagement will not stop it, but I will continue further on what I believe in support and common engagement with the citizens of Malisheva to bring back to life those ideal and rights that we are still denied today as citizens of Malisheva and Kosovo
