State offering 5,000 euros a month who gets married

For a few years, Iceland's government has been offering monthly income to the tune of 5,000 euros, for all men who decide to marry girls who have Icelandic citizenship.

The country's current president, Gu '%ni Thoracius Jóhannesson, said his state has 320 thousand inhabitants and that most of them are over 40 years old, so the country is facing a real demographic crisis, writes the Irish Express.

The initiative proposed by this president is far from new, since Canada and Japan also have such programs, where young people who want to marry both women and male members of these countries and want to build their lives and produce offspring are given considerable amounts as a reward.
