Britain's Ambassador Ruair O'Connell has expressed condolences over the death of Kosovo's first Prime Minister Bajram Rexhepi.
He says he thought he was a good friend and he showed their first date.
I took the news of Bajram Rexhepi's life over with grief. I express my condolences to his family and the people of Kosovo”.
I considered Bairam a friend. For the first time, I met him in 2004 with Mission Chief, two days after I arrived in Kosovo. As a new diplomat, I was very excited about meeting the prime minister. I've never met someone that high or important. So I will never forget Bajram's welcome and how relieved I am. He was a good man and I was lucky to have the chance to get to know”, he wrote O'Connell in his comfort.
