NATO today criticised Russia's and Belarus's lack of transparency for military maneuvers planned to be held on their border line.
Several NATO countries have expressed concern over these military maneuvers named “”Zapad 2017” (Western 2017), scheduled from September 14th to September 20th in Belarus, a Moscow ally that shares borders with Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.
About 12,700 Belarusan and Russian military forces are expected to take part in these maneuvers, according to Minsk, but Lithuania claimed it would actually mobilise 100,000 soldiers, Aess attended.
