Kosovo's incumbent Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, in line with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and legal acts in force, has decided on the release of members of government cabinet who have been elected MPs in the Kosovo Assembly, due to the incompatibility stipulated by the Constitution
“In this context, Prime Minister Mustafa has made a decision on the release of the cabinet's defunct members -- respectively, Deputy Prime Minister Ramiz Kelmendi -- as well as Ministers Enver Hoxhaj, Avdullah Hoti, Lutfi Zaku, Memli Krasniqi, Hykmete Bajrami, Rasim Demiri, Kujm Shala and Arbashi”, said in the news release of the prime minister
The decision is made in line with Article 72 of the Constitution, which defines incompatibility, under which, the “Kosovo AssemblyDeputet cannot hold any executive position in public administration or in any public-owned company, nor to exercise any other executive function, as defined by law”.
The incumbent Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, will, in the coming days, make decisions regarding the persons who will carry out these tasks until the mandate is handed over to the next government.
