Big words for Montenegro from Zv. US President

Serbian political analyst Aleksandar Pavic said that “if Montenegro is a guarantee of stability, we can kiss the trust the Balkans gives us”.
Marko Vesovic, who writes for “Dan”, a daily newspaper published in Montenegro, told “Sputnik” that the small mountain's military and political potential with a population of less than 600,000 is close to zero and Mike Penc's words do not mean that Montenegro can serve as a guarantee of security for anyone.
A country whose army consists of less than 1,000 men is useless to provide some regional security, but it is still used as a positive example of a country that has joined it NATO. This is a signal for Serbia, the main regional power, that if it agrees to become part of the Euro-Atlantic integration process, the US may consider in a better partnership with its”, Marko Vesovic said, “Sputnik International” Transmission Periscope.
“The US wants to exercise full political control over the Western Balkans and needs Montenegro to show Serbia how it would benefit from NATO entry”, he added.
Marko Vesovic said nothing had changed in Montenegro since the country joined the North Atlantic Alliance in June.
Montenegro joined NATO on June 5th 2017 as the 29th member of the Western defence coalition, despite the fact that about half of the country's population opposed that movement./Periscopi/
