Vilma Dula has decided to display her face on social networking, four years after the barbarous event where she was attacked with acid on the street.
The 27-year-old Vlora worked as a human resource manager near an Italian center call, and on August 27, 2013, when she was leaving home, she was attacked with acid in her face by a stranger, disfigured her face, seriously endangered the sight caused by serious chest injuries and arms.
This was the first crime of this type in our country.
And now she has found the strength to stand before everyone and prove that she will never give up, no matter what happened to her and marked her life.
“4 years ago, on August 27, 2013, a man attacked me with acid as I was leaving home to go to work. There were many who thought that I would be able to get back after this severe blow. I don't deny it, I've thought about it myself. But whenever I was ready to give up, I reminded myself of how beautiful it was to be born again for the second time and not to use it by complaining and weeping over my sad fate. Rather, I had to fight to change the very course of fate. Today, four years from now, I'm a woman conscious of her strength, because she knows that the real limits are what we set for ourselves. Today, I am a woman who no longer wants to hide because there is no more fear. Today, I am a woman who has chosen not to fear stereotypes of beauty because I know that true beauty belongs to one who has a clean soul and who is at peace with his conscience. Today, I am a woman who loves scars in her face as if they were her roots. I'm Vilma Dulae and this is the story of a woman who never gave up”- writes Vilma Dule.
