During the vote, VMRO-DPMNE deputies were not present in Parliament because, according to them, the dismissal of Chief Prosecutor Zvelevski is illegal and unacceptable to them. Moments before the vote, MP from VMRO-DPMNE ranks Ilija Dimovski for the last time tried to monitor and prevent the vote, but Xhaferi was steadfast in his decision to vote on Zvrlevski's dismissal.
