Lawyer Gashi: Frasher Krasniqi has immunity, his statements at the session are fair

But, despite that, Krasniqi managed to be present in every “sequencing”, held so far by the Kosovo Assembly's Sixth Legislantation.

During yesterday's constitutional session, Krasniqi made a big fuss with the statement he made in the direction of Kosovo Liberation Army commanders.

Krasniqi is not even reluctant to mention the name of AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj, of whom he said he is not reluctant to bow down to the Serbian List and <x0-riminal” Uke Rugova.

Contacted by Indexline, Krasniqi's defence attorney, Tome Gashi, has indicated that to be part of the hearings, Krasniqi always needs to make a new request to the Judge.

Any session he attends should be requested, and until now the Court has allowed it and certainly should always allow it because it is the elected MP who has voted for it”, Gashi has said.

But according to him, the statement of <x0xegent” he made yesterday will not influence that the application for participation in the parliamentary session is rejected.

The “absolutely will not influence because it is the immunity that protects and gives it the right to declare and such statements are right and the Court has no right to mix at all in the country for the decisions made by the Headmaster”, Gashi added.

According to Gashi, his only sin yesterday was to mention the specific names of several commanders.

“Of course his statements have been free since the debate was allowed by the Speaker of the Parliament, and Krasniqi has not been the only one to debate. The only sin has been that he mentioned to some commanders who may be involved in crime cases and not all of them, but I believe that next time he can do this, Gashi is done.
