Kosovo police have clarified the circumstances in which their official vehicle has been filmed while driving in reverse on the <x0th street of Rugova”back. According to police reports, the car was in pursuit of several persons suspected of theft.
Kosovo's “Police through this official announcement informs citizens and broad opinion about the actions and measures taken by the police management towards police officials who have circulated and led the official Kosovo Police vehicle on the opposite side of the road to Dr. Ibrahim Rugova.
Police officials with the official Skoda vehicle, which belongs to the Suhareka police station, dated 28.07.2017 around 16:22, at the 41st mileage of the Vermicaway highway, Pristina, have circulated in the opposite direction of the road, since the same on official duty has been in pursuit of a suspected car in which the suspected persons were involved in the case of theft.
Suspects on the run have used their vehicle to reverse the road, and police officials in emergency driving have been tracking them in that same direction, in order to arrest suspected persons.
The competent management of the respective region has undertaken immediate actions for the review and pre-eleminary investigation of the case, regarding the taking of disciplinary administrative measures, for violating the law on road traffic regulations”, the report said.
