Donald Trump reacted after launching the North Korean missile on Japan, which caused the war bells to fall again. The White House chief did not rule out the possibility of a military action.
“Bota heard the last message in North Korea loud and clear. This regime has already signaled contempt for its neighbors, for all members of the United Nations, and for the minimum standards of acceptable international conduct. Threatening and destabilizing actions only increase the isolation of this country, the region and the world. All options are on the table”, Trump said.
The release was seen by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe as an unprecedented threat to his country. The rocket dropped first morning hours flew over the island of Hokkaido before it fell into the sea.
It's believed to be a powerful enough missile to carry a head of nuclear warheads. According to the South Korean Army, it was launched east at 6 am, from an area near Peniani, which is considered something rare.
Initial documentation shows that it has flown for more than 2,700km, reached the altitude of 550km, lower than in previous tests, to fall further north of the Pacific, where it is broken into 3 parts. Japanese authorities made no effort to bring it down, but the residents of Hokkaido were advised to take refuge in buildings as stable as possible, or basements.
The incident has disturbed the Japanese, who immediately started by the protests.
Japan's “Citizens are exposed to danger, and for that, I will never forgive North Korea”, said Kohei Toyama, student.
This is very disturbing, both in the international and Japanese perspective. Even the United States seems deeply troubled”, said Mitsunori Shima, resident.
Peniani has conducted some disturbing tests recently, but this is the first time he uses a ballistic weapon on neighbouring Japan. There have been two previous cases, when his missiles passed through Japan in 1998 and 2009, however, the Communist country had then clarified that satellite launch mechanisms were not real weapons.
The UN Security Council announced an emergency meeting in response to the dangerous episode. Australia and Taiwan strongly condemned provocative action, while Seoul's planes simulated border bombings.
