Political stalemate in Kosovo is expected to last, while LDK leader Isa Mustafa said his party will not vote Kadri Veselin for mayor of the assembly.
The LDK, Mustafa says, does not see a coalition with the Democratic Party of Kosovo possible while talking about co-operation with Vetevendosje.
“We have the stance not to support a coalition with the Democratic Party of Kosovo”.
We will discuss with Vetevendosje whether we can find a common language, common arguments and also the country's common interest, to make a joint government”.
We will see the government programme, but also issues that remain as pledges to the international community, especially those that involve visa liberalisation and demarcation of the border with Montenegro. Kadri Wessel will not be voted by my party. It would be good to propose an MP, who would be more consensual in terms of other subjects”, said Isa Mustafa.
Asked about the possibilities of holding early elections in Kosovo, the LDK leader thinks it is good to avoid this.
I think we should avoid early elections because they don't help us for anything. We have to make maximum efforts to build institutions. How many of those institutions will be stable, it is then in big question”, he said, for Top Channel
Isa Mustafa did not rule out a coalition with Vetevendosje, but spoke out against the Democratic Party coalition.
At this moment, the LDK is not with the Democratic Party of Kosovo coalition. Other issues remain to be discussed”, the head of the Democratic Movement of Kosovo said.
